No special degree is required for students who wish to enter the A-level course. Students who have taken the SLC, CBSE, or equivalent at the time of admission can apply. Students who have completed the GCE O-Level or IGCSE at other schools are also eligible. The main requirements are that students be academically able to fulfill the rigours of this challenging programme.
The prospects and application form for admission can be obtained from the office upon payment of Rs. 500/-. The application form needs to be filled up neatly by the candidate seeking admission in her/his own handwriting and submitted to the school office within the date mentioned. Please note that mere filling of the admission form does not guarantee admission in any case.
If the application form for admission of a candidate is found complete as per the requirements the school, the candidate is called for a written exam. An applicant seeking admission in Science stream needs to appear for entrance exam in English and a combined paper of Basic Science and Mathematics. The exam will be of two hours. An applicant seeking admission in Commerce stream needs to appear for a two-hour entrance exam in English and Mathematics while an applicant wiling to take admission in Humanities stream needs to appear for an one-hour entrance exam in English.
The selected candidates from the written entrance examination are then called for interview. Please note that it is compulsory for a student to bring their parents/authentic local guardians along with them if they are called fro interview. No students will be interviewed without parents/guardians.
Only the candidates who pass both the entrance examination and interview are called for admission. Students selected for admission should complete all the formalities of admission within the stipulated time mentioned to them, failing which their claim for admission will be nullified and seats given to the candidates on waiting list.
The decision of the Admission Committee is final in all cases of admission. Once documents are submitted, the applicant is not allowed to either withdraw or submit additional materials. If an application is found incomplete, it becomes null-void automically. The management may ask a student at any point of time, before or after admission, to bring the original transcripts of submitted credentials for verification. A student must, therefore, keep all original certificates ready for authentication as and when demanded. |
